Regulation of the Minister of Forestry and Environment No. 10 of 2022 on Preparation of General Plans for the Rehabilitation of Forest and Watershed Land and Annual Plans for Forest and Land Rehabilitation

- The following parties are required to draw up and determine annual Forest Rehabilitation Plans (Rencana Tahunan Rehabilitasi Hutan – “RTnRH”) one year prior to the implementation of their forest and land rehabilitation (Rehabilitasi Hutan dan Lahan/RHL) activities: 1) Holders of the Right to Manage (Hak Pengelolaan); 2) Holders of business licensing documents for the utilization of forests; 3) Holders of approvals for the use of forest areas; and 4) Holders of approvals for the release of forest areas.
- The overall procedures for the drawing up and determination of RTnRH break down as follows: 1) Establishment of a team and gathering of data and information; 2) Analysis and field inspection; and 3) Drawing up of draft RTnRH and assessment. Previously, no explicit requirements were set regarding assessments of RTnRH prior to their determination.
