In this modern age, businessmen are require to develop their business towards technology that is practical and fast, one of which is health and social services. In the midst of a pandemic that has occurred in recent years, the role of health services and social activities has become increasingly prioritized.
When the national economy contracted in 2020 to Q1/2021, the health services sector continued to record growth and peaked in Q4/2020. The Statistics Indonesia (BPS) recorded that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by business field of Health services and social activities grew by 10.46% (y-o-y) in 2021. The decline in growth occurred in line with improving national health conditions which reduced the level of public awareness of COVID-19. Even so, considering that until now the need for Health and social services is still very much needed in handling the COVID-19 pandemic, it is predicted that this service will still experience considerable growth in 2022, which is around 10.54% (y-o-y).
Development of Services and Digitization of Health Technology
The high demand for health services whose growth is faster when compared to available facilities requires businesses in these services to provide services as quickly as possible. As a solution to this problem, technological transformation and digitalization have a very important role. However, there are several challenges in developing an integrated and technology-oriented digital transformation of healthcare services.
One of them is human resources (human resources). The transformation does not only focus on digitization, but also on the level of human resource standardization and technology management to become more integrated in order to serve better. Therefore, digital literacy in Indonesia must still be encouraged so that the available technology and services can be more optimal.

This can increase the demand for health services and help people to control their health in any busy conditions.
- Artificial Intelligence (AI), AI or artificial intelligence technology in medical equipment helps improve the performance of medical equipment such as diagnostic work, data processing, report generation, to patient care recommendations can be generated more efficiently and accurately. The ability of AI to perform various tasks automatically promises a more effective and efficient solution in the utilization of time, energy and costs for hospitals. And other health facilities.
- Wearable Technology, a medical device that can be used on the body to detect the user’s health condition. Some examples of such technology are sports watches that can measure heart rate.
